Margaret Hamilton

Contributions to Computer Science: Hamilton was one of the first software engineers and largely contributed to the code of the command and lunar modules in the Apollo missions. Hamilton worked on a computer program that could predict the weather during her time at MIT. She also was the first person to coin the name 'Software Engineer' for her job.
Margaret Hamilton graduated from the Earlham College and studied math and philosophy there.
