Alan Turing

Birth: June 23, 1912

Death: June 7, 1954

Contributions to Computer Science: During World War II, Turing created a machine to decode German messages from the Enigma Machine. Additionally, Alan Turing also is considered to be the founding father of AI. He also created the Turing Test, which determines a machine's capabilities to solve or decipher solvable and unsolvable problems.
Turing went to a private school prior to getting accepted to the University of Cambridge in 1931 for mathematics. After graduating, he got a fellowship at King's University.
